Quickstart for Experts: Earning Your First Points
On GlobalReach Link, Expertise Points are a key signal of how active you are and how visible you should be to project owners. By completing a small set of starter missions, you can quickly reach Expert · Level 1–2.
The four missions below map to core expert behaviours:
building a credible profile, sharing content, inviting trusted peers,
and engaging with the Community Feed. Completing them in order helps
project owners and other members quickly understand
who you are, what you’re good at, and what kind of opportunities you’re looking for.
Mission 1: Complete your basic profile (approx. 2 minutes)
If you’ve already registered, open the account menu in the top-right corner, go to Profile → Edit, fill in the recommended fields and save your changes. If you haven’t registered yet, start with a simple sign-up first.
To complete your personal or organisational profile,
the actual steps are very simple:
- Upload a clear headshot (or your organisation logo) and a profile cover image.
- In your Profile, select your primary city / region of operation.
- Under “Your primary role on GlobalReach Link”, choose how you mainly use the platform (e.g. Expert, Advisor).
- Under “What topics are you most interested in?”, select up to three key areas you care about most, then click “Save Changes”.
Once these items are completed, the system will treat your profile as 100% complete
and automatically award your first
Expertise Points.
This is where your journey to Expert · Level 1 begins.
Mission 2: Publish 3 expert Newsfeed posts (approx. 10 minutes each)
The Community Feed is often the first place where project owners and other experts discover you. Soon after joining, we recommend writing at least three posts. Aim for 100+ words per post. You can write in text only or combine text with images and short videos. Once all 3 posts are published, you’ll usually receive around 120–150 Expertise Points in total.
Suggested themes for your first 3–5 posts:
-
1. Who you are and your core expertise
Introduce yourself and the industries / regions you focus on (e.g. health-tech, ESG, cross-border e-commerce). Briefly mention what types of clients you’ve supported and in which countries. -
2. Why you joined GlobalReach Link
Summarise your top three reasons for joining. Explain what kind of expertise you want to offer on the platform, what kind of partners you hope to meet, and which markets or project types you’re particularly interested in. -
3. The value you can offer the community
List two or three concrete ways you can help. For example: “Helping overseas teams understand local regulations in a clear way”, “Assessing whether a company is ready to expand into Australia”, or “Designing data architecture for public-sector transformation projects”. -
4. Two or three representative success cases
Without sharing any confidential information, outline: the client’s challenge (you can keep them anonymous), how you supported them, and what changed as a result. -
5. A cross-border question you’re currently exploring
Turn a topic you’re researching into a question-based post. For example: “How should we position early-stage Southeast Asian deals to Australian investors?” Invite comments and perspectives from other experts.
Mission 3: Invite trusted experts and partners (approx. 5 minutes)
Strong communities are built by strong members. If you already know experts you trust, use the invite flow to bring them into GlobalReach Link and grow the network together.
The button below automatically checks whether you are logged in.
If you’re not logged in yet, you’ll first be taken to the login / registration page. After logging in, you’ll be redirected straight back to the Invite page, where you can enter your contact’s email address and a short personal message.
Who to invite and what to write:
- Three to five peers you’d genuinely like to work alongside on real projects: collaborators, partner firms, advisory boutiques, etc.
- Add one sentence on why you think the platform fits them (e.g. cross-border projects, APAC focus, curated investment / deal flow).
- Include a closing line such as: “Once you’ve registered, please connect with me on the platform so we can explore suitable opportunities together.”
- If they successfully register and start using the platform, you may receive additional Expertise Points based on your contribution.
Mission 4: Like at least one expert post (approx. 1 minute each)
This is a light-touch mission to help you get familiar with the Community Feed. When you see a post you truly find valuable, use the Like button to signal that you’ve read it and agree or resonate with the insight.
How to complete this mission:
- In the Community Feed, find a post that is relevant to your sector, market or area of expertise.
- Open and read the full post first. If it genuinely resonates with you or teaches you something new, click Like.
- Prioritise posts that share real-world experience, case studies, industry insights, partner searches or concrete project opportunities.
Each time you complete this action,
you’ll receive 10 Expertise Points.
At the same time, your profile becomes more visible to other experts.
Combined later with thoughtful comments or direct messages, this is often
the first step towards real collaboration.
For this mission, you can earn up to
200 Expertise Points.
In other words, for your first 20 Likes, you’ll gain 10 points each time.
